Best wishes Julie HOW A WRINKLE IS FORMED The sun contributes to more than 90 percent of the visible aging in the skin. The way the sun forms a wrinkle is it breaks down the support structures ie; collagen and elastin fibres. As these fibres break down we lose support and the skin becomes more easily creaseable. Put this with a lack of hydration inside and out, pollution, medication, poor diet, alcohol caffeine and STRESS....... need I go on? We have the perfect environment for wrinkle formation. WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT? I hear you ask...... well firstly a good sunscreen with no artificial frangrance or colour, these ingrediants can cause photo sensitivity which leaves the skin more prone to burning, (bit like putting paint stripper into paint ) applied daily and reapplied if exposure to sunlight is prolonged over 2 hours. Team this with a prescribed skin routine for home use and a regular professional facial every 4 - 6 weeks and you will be well on the way to preventing wrinkles. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE!
